BANGKOK, THAILAND — Italpinas Development Corporation (IDC), the Italian-Filipino real estate firm renowned for its eco-friendly architectural signature, has secured three new International Property Awards for 2026, a feat that reinforces the developer's accelerating pivot from its Mindanao base into some of the country's most promising investment frontiers. The Bangkok ceremony recognized three developments—Riviera Residential Resort in Palawan, Moena Mountain Estates in Bukidnon, and Baia Verde in Morong, Bataan—each situated in provincial locations IDC is actively positioning as the next wave of sustainable real estate growth.
Representing the company at the prestigious event were its newly configured leadership duo: Architect Romolo Nati, now serving as Founder and Chairman while retaining his role as Chief Design Officer, and the recently appointed Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Giuseppe Garofalo. The awards spotlight a strategic evolution for the publicly listed firm, which saw sales jump nearly 30 percent to ₱784.7 million in 2025, largely fueled by strong demand in provincial markets that IDC had deliberately targeted ahead of its larger competitors.
Riviera Brings Green Design to Palawan's Rising Market
Riviera Residential Resort marks IDC's first major foray into Palawan, a province that has seen intensified real estate activity since the company secured joint venture agreements with the Co family in March 2025. The development is part of a broader push that includes three new Palawan projects—Verona Princesa, Verona Puerto, and Verona Costa Verde—all designed to bring IDC's compact, energy-efficient building philosophy to an island more commonly associated with coastal tourism than master-planned green communities.
The award validates IDC's thesis that sustainability and resort-style living can coexist profitably. Riviera is envisioned as a low-density residential resort that will carry EDGE certification from the International Finance Corporation, the same green rating that has become a hallmark of every IDC project. The recognition also signals growing confidence in Palawan's ability to absorb upscale, environmentally conscious developments as the province balances economic growth with its well-established ecological identity.

Moena Mountain Estates Turns Bukidnon's Highlands into a Green Destination
Moena Mountain Estates represents perhaps IDC's most ambitious landscape integration to date. Situated on a 1.5-hectare property in Barangay Dahilayan, Manolo Fortich, the mixed-use development anchors a planned resort community in an area already known as the "Baguio of Mindanao." The project is set to feature a 184-room hotel under the Dusit Princess brand, slated to open in late 2029, alongside commercial, condotel, and residential components that capitalize on the area's cool climate and mountain scenery.
The partnership with Thailand's Dusit International reinforces Moena's premium positioning within IDC's portfolio. The hotel will offer a lobby lounge, all-day dining restaurant, outdoor pool, gym, and yoga room, all designed to blend with the forested slopes of the Mount Kitanglad Range Natural Park. The award recognizes the project's architectural and environmental sensitivity at a site where wellness and wilderness converge.

Baia Verde Plants IDC's Flag in the Central Luzon Corridor
The third awardee, Baia Verde Residences, anchors IDC's entry into Bataan, a province poised to benefit from the Central Luzon growth corridor. The project will rise on a 2.3-hectare property in Morong with IDC Prime, a subsidiary, raising up to ₱1 billion in corporate notes to fund its development and construction. Baia Verde is being positioned as a low-density, resort-style community that extends IDC's signature sustainable design principles into the Luzon market.
The award affirms that IDC's approach—merging Italian design with Filipino sensibilities and an unwavering commitment to green certification—travels successfully beyond the developer's Mindanao heartland. With total assets rising 3.5 percent to ₱4.5 billion as of the latest fiscal year, IDC is deploying the Bangkok triple-win as both a marketing milestone and a signal to investors that its provincial expansion strategy has earned independent, international approval. For buyers in Palawan, Bukidnon, and Bataan, the awards offer an added layer of assurance that the communities they are investing in meet globally recognized standards of design and sustainability excellence.
